“There were six people on the boat that night…and when they awoke, there were five.”
Elizabeth Valchar wanted nothing but to have the perfect life. After all, she is pretty, popular, and rich. For Liz’s eighteenth birthday, Liz, her step-sister Josie, her boyfriend Richie, and 3 of her other friends, have a party on her yacht. After they all fell asleep, Liz is awoken by a thumping sound. She gets up to follow the sound, only to discover her body, drowned.
In shock and denial, Liz tries to search for the truth, only to come to the understanding that she is a ghost.
She is joined by another ghost, Alex Berg. Alex was killed in an accident when his bike was hit by a car.
In order to move one, Alex and Liz must discover the truth surrounding her death and his. Who is guilty? Who is innocent? Was her death accidental?
Everything catches up to you in the end…no matter how hard you run from them.
It has been a REALLY long time since I have read a ghost story of this excellence.
It is so full of mystery and heartbreak.
Liz and Alex are such diverse characters.
Liz is one of those people you love to hate, but you really come to understand her in the end.
Alex…I felt so bad for him. He seemed to have a really tough life, at home and especially at school. He was the quiet kid that either no one paid him any attention or he was severely picked on. And to die so young! And of course when you discover the truth behind his death…
I would strongly recommend this book!
It is defiantly worth the read!
